VILLAGE IN A CITY
From the countryside to the city,
From ancient times to present days
Generations have come, generations have left
Before when the enslaved ones were sent over seas,
And the dawn sprinkled on us a new history,
The soul of this place existed, a living mystery.
But they never told us this scenery still lived on in the capital
All we knew was the story of the Dutch horror rising above the sea,
To split gains with the dwellers of the dread towers of James,
From the barter feild of Salaga.
But on the other side from the sea shore,
The Gods of Abgadukui, Lomokotsu, Krokoto and Afriyie still live with us.
Engulfed by the highest level of western civilization,
The remains of the black culture still lives in anticipation,
That the lost custodians find their souls black enough to embrace their heritage.
